Stop board for public transport

　　The stop board is composed of four red frames at different heights, with bus information indicated on the frame. The whole design takes on striking red color, and is sturdy and modern because of its stainless steel materials. With unique shape and attractive hue, the design adds color to the high-tech park. The stop board has a suitable height and spacious space for people to pass freely, which is designed to incorporate an interactive function into the only indication function of original design.

Telephone booth

The telephone booth, which is made of metal and wood, is a blend of rigidity and flexibility. By mixing the two materials (metal and wood), the red trapezoid ceiling and wooden fence in irregular shape exhibits a different feeling. Besides the use of transparent glass, the design combines the metallic luster and softness of wooden surfaces, which is considered to be fashionable and modern.

Street lamp

　　The street lamp, which is composed of cuboid tube and two quadrilateral pieces, looks like torch and has a clear three-dimensional sense. The tube is made of resin and is dull yellow to ease visual stimulation. The two quadrilateral pieces are transparent joint lamp boxes which on the whole reflect a beautiful and dignified appearance.

　　At night, the light of the lamp is looming with warm color, which gives the pedestrians a feeling at home. The overall design is of great character but not aggressive and adds a touch of interest to the surroundings.

Trash can

　　　The design of trash can is inspired by windmill. The square trash can, which is formed by four trapezoid pieces, is artistic and rich in interest. The design is combined with environmental protection concept for the material used is half of wood and half of metal, also, the combination of soft and hard materials (wood and metal) brings out the sense of beauty of rigidity and flexibility. The treatment of the materials is more reasonable: the adoption of patch form prevents the wood from rot damage, and the selection of metal with transparent look-and-feel makes the whole work full of the sense of vision and is so easy to know the quantity of trash that it can prevent too much trash from running over the trash can and being scattered on the ground, also relieve the burden of cleaner.

Station

　　The design of the station is composed of irregular figures. The top of the station is composed of six irregular quadrilaterals and is inspired by the keys on keyboard, which looks like a well-ordered trapezoid when viewed from the side. The design of seat echoes the overall shape of the station and takes an irregular shape. It contributes to easy building and adds contemporary touch, which adds flexibility to the whole design. Colored stainless steel and toughened glass are adopted as materials. The seat, which is made of toughened glass, is beautiful and easy-to-clean. Pieces of silvery stainless steel are not only used to separate the seat, but also used as a support.

　　　

　　　

Exhibition Design

 

“Walking with Expo” Flying-2009 (Exhibition of the works of the graduation design of fresh graduates)

　　The exhibition of the works of the graduation design of fresh graduates is on the theme of Expo. The design takes computer as the main design element to display the theme.

　　The whole exhibition space is divided into two main areas: multimedia area and exhibition area. The multimedia area, which is used to introduce works by playing video, is located at the center of the exhibition hall. The exhibition area is divided into two floors to place the works of the graduates. The frame used for exhibition adopts the form of computer screen, which emphasizes the concept of digital. Also, frames are placed on the wall for exhibition. The area on the far left is used to place the introduction material of the students of the institutes and the publicity materials of Expo.

　　　In order to meet the theme of flying, the top of the exhibition hall, which is composed of metallic steel plate and pendant lamp, looks like wings. Blue and white are used as main colors to meet the color of Expo Mascot. The adoption of metal and materials with texture of reflecting light increases its brightness and conveys impressions of technology and future. The toughened glass is adopted by the design of the staircase and railing on the second floor, which makes the whole exhibition hall full of the sense of vision, at the same time, the visitors upstairs could observe the large screen and the circumstances downstairs.

Summer Internship

　　This is a design for public utilities with environmental protection as the theme, and the purpose of the design is to make people get closer to nature. The design applies natural materials of environmental protection including wood, marble and ceramics, etc.

　　The shape of the building looks like “S” and the entrances of men's room and ladies' room are located at the both ends respectively, which is of high privacy. The roof is formed by five hollow-out triangles and looks like stars from the top view, which has a strong visual sensation. The wall surface adopts marble and is close to the nature. Partition wall, which is stacked by irregular stones, is set at the entrance, and plays a role as separation, and is yet beautiful.

　　The purpose of the design is to strive for building different public utilities and breaking through the traditional design concept.
